Reply From Chris Pritchard – Custom TV

On 12 May 2010 at 16:45, we sent an e-mail to Gareth Chew (Capital Service Charge Officer) and Ray Davies (Lakehouse Resident liaison officer – 0800 0480123) from Camden Council after many attempts to have an answer from Custom TV contractors failed.

They have advised us that Custom TV will install the IRS system on the Curnock Estate and a direct contact with Custom TV would be necessary in order to arrange the installation of some extra sockets.

QUESTION:
What is the cost (incl VAT) for every extra socket in a property?

ANSWER
Extra TV point £65.00 Plus VAT =£76.40, Extra Satellite point £250.00 Plus VAT = £293.78


QUESTION:
Can the extra sockets be installed in either side (front and back) of the property?

ANSWER
First point will be in lounge next to exciting TV point (as agreed by Camden and Custom) Second point can be placed in bedroom or another rooms as required (Internally wired only) no external wires for extra TV point can be fitted unless agreed by Camden. Satellite extra point will be externally wired to point of entry and confirmed by Camden.


QUESTION:
Who will be responsible for the warranty of the extra sockets?

ANSWER
Custom TV


QUESTION:
Who will be responsible for the maintenance of the extra sockets after the first year warranty period?

ANSWER
This will be confirmed once a Service and Maintenance agreement has been agreed by Camden.


QUESTION:
According to the Camden Council you will responsible for the extar sockets’ maintenance and I will have to deal with you for any problems regading the extra sockets. I would like to know the cost for the maintenance per socket per year per property.

ANSWER
Please refer to point 4 for S&M


QUESTION:
If there is a problem after the end of the warranty how will you access the site? Will the Camden Council grant you access?

ANSWER
All access will be agreed with the resident (Date and Times to be agreed between resident and Custom Admin on 08451 800613)


QUESTION:
Will you need a permission from the Camden Council for access to the equipment? Would it be easy to have such a permission?

ANSWER
Custom has overall access until Warranty has lapsed, access will be down to Camden there after under S&M agreement.


QUESTION:
If another company get the contract for the maintenance after the first year, would you still be able to maintain the extra sockets to the flats?

ANSWER
This work will be within the S&M agreement.
