Broken Intercom System in Goldthorpe – REF: 1265708/1 FIXED

Broken Intercom System on GoldthorpeThe Intercom System of the Goldthorpe building stop working on Monday 12th December 2011. It has been reported to the Housing Repairs Team on the same day.

PSU is faulty and a new was ordered yesterday. It will take up to 7 working days!!!

The two main entrances on the Goldthorpe building- Curnock Estste, are not working.

Is there any news concerning the faulty Intercom system on the Goldthorpe building?

At the moment both main doors are open for any drug dealer/user, thief or crook who wants to do “business” inside the building.

Thank you for your emails dated 12 th , 13 th and 14 th December 2011.

An order has been raised for the lock to the refuse door (they meant Intercom System) to be repaired under reference 1265708/1 . This works order has been raised with a 24 hour priority.

Subject: Re: Main entrances – Intercom system is faulty- Goldghorpe, Curnock estate

Dear Sir or Madam,

The intercom system in Goldthorpe is still out of order for a fourth day. Tomorrow will be the fifth day in which all the non residents can easily enter the building from either entrance and use or sell their drugs and do other activities.

Your statement of one day priority for the repair was not true.

Could you please send us an update and make sure that the intercom is fixed before the end of this weekend?

On 16-12-2011 at 12:00 we spoke to the repairs team:


Mr Amin informed us that the Lakehouse contractor attended the site yesterday. They reported that the PSU (Power Supply Unit) was faulty. A new one was ordered but it will take up to 7 working days.


On 16-12-2011 at 18:30 the intercom system was working!!
