Important notice – interruption to your water supply

25 March 2014

Dear Customer,

There will be interruptions to your water supply on Wednesday 27 March 2014 between 12noon and 8pm.

Optimise is working in partnership with Thames Water to replace some of the oldest water mains in Bayham Street. In doing so, we aim to lessen the likelihood of burst mains, which will help reduce leakage from our network.
This is so we can connect your property to the new water main we have installed that supplies your road.

During the interruption to your supply:

• Please do not use any appliances that are fed directly from the water mains or that rely on a constant supply of water (for example, kitchen taps, washing machines or dishwashers), as they may not work properly.
• Please do not leave taps on, as this could result in flooding when the water is restored.
• If you have any special need for water, please contact us using the information below so we can do our best to help.
• When the supply returns to normal, you may notice that the water has a milky appearance. This is caused by tiny air bubbles in the water. It is not harmful to your health. Please run your kitchen tap and they will clear in a few minutes.

Alternatively, if you would like to know more about our work, please visit our website at www.thameswater.co.uk/newpipes.

If you need to contact us, please call our Customer Centre on 0845 641 0011, quoting your address and the reference number CAP4/BB 960-766 The lines are always open.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this essential work and ensure that this notice is visible to all water users within this property
