Boiler Noise Nuisance 2025

The loud pulsating noise from the boiler room started again in the late afternoon of May 6, 2025. The problem has been identified as the primary pump and the equivalent reverter, which are making excessive noise. This has been confirmed by GEM and John Brooks from the Camden Council last Wednesday, 07th May 2025. Since then, we have been going through the same pointless exercises that all previous contractors (Seaflame, Apollo, etc) have followed.

Those exercises involve adjusting settings to try to lower the noise, but without sorting out the problem. When the pumps are correctly maintained, they do not produce excessive pulsating noise at any setting. See screenshot below from the web seach that we did:

Noise pollution has significant negative impacts on public health, ranging from physical to mental and psychological well-being. These effects include stress, sleep disturbances, and potential contributions to cardiovascular disease and mental health problems.

We are keeping a log and have started an investigation, which will lead to formal action if the matter is not resolved promptly.
