No Hot WaterThere is no hot water on the Curnock Estate. The Emergency Repairs Team has been informed at 21:15 from a resident.

An email was sent to the Housing Repairs Team at 22:35 about the problem.

The hot water in Goldthorpe is tepid and not hot enough for bath or shower. The time is 22:32 at the moment.

Could you do something to fix the problem?

Could you please send me the job reference for this repair as well as the reasons for the continuous and unacceptable failures to the Heating System?

On 07th November 2011 at 22:45 we called the Emergency Repairs Team: David informed us that the problem has been reported already at 21:15 and that the Apollo will attend within 4 hours from the time the fault was reported.


On 08th November 2011 at 06:00am we found out that: There is still NO hot water. That implies that Apollo might have not visited the site as David from the Emergency Repairs Team had promised to us. More soon.


On 08th November 2011 at 06:30am we spoke with Alvin from the Emergency repaits team: Alvin from the Emergency Repairs Team informed us that Apollo attended the site but they needed some parts. They will come in the morning.

Dear Ms Gorrie, Cllr Robinson and Residents

In reference to the several emails I have received over the previous few days, I would like to cover what we are doing with our partners in terms of the issues at Curnock Estate.

As I have said during previous correspondence, it is, in my opinion far more effective to provide a summary of the situation than to respond to each individual email, as far as each sub issue is concerned.

We are monitoring the system daily, which goes without saying and spending a great deal of time in terms of commissioning and balancing the system.

Today we are removing Calorifier bundles one at a time and descaling to provide optimum performance and will be undertaking this process for all Calorifiers as well as increasing the maintenance regime for this element of the service. Furthermore we have a Controls Engineer attending site tomorrow to review and report on the controls strategy to determine if there are any improvements that can be undertaken to the whole system. We have also requested and organised a representative from the Calorifier Manufacturer to attend site to investigate and comment upon the equipment and to determine if they have come across these issues at other sites they have.

We have set up an action team to look at an holistic view of the system and investigate this not just from recent events but from an historical evaluation of the faults that have occurred, we are both determined and committed to rectifying this issue and providing an system that is both efficient and reliable.

We do not take this or any other issue, across our numerous premises, lightly and can assure all that we are working extremely hard with our partners, manufacturers and specialists to come to a speedy resolution.

as both a Ward Councillor and a Curnock resident I am aware that local residents, both tenants and leaseholders, are becoming increasingly frustrated, and patience is wearing thin.
