UPDATES
22-12-2009 at 17:32 Cllr Roger Robinson informed us that he has tried and hopefully there will be some hot water by now. He promised to pursue this after the Xmas break.
He also forward us an e-mail from Ashford Francis (Programme Manager – Mechanical and Electrical Capital Delivery Team – Renewals Division) which states the following:
“One of the Mechanical Services Manager attended site mid morning and re set the boiler which had locked out. The temperature of the hot water was reset to 50 degrees Centigrade. On inspection the manager found out that some parts were in need of replacement, and will place an order for these as well as some minor re wiring. With the best will in the world these repairs will not happen until the new year.
However please be reassured that the Council’s Mechanical Services Managers will be on call over the holiday working in conjunction with both Apollo and Seaflame staff.
The heating system on this estate is included in the 2010 – 11 mechanical capital programme and we will investigate whether there is a need to carry out a complete renewal of the boilers or major repairs. The decision on either renewal or repair will be the subject of a technical study.”
22-12-2009 at 09:17 The Housing Repairs Team informed us that they “…have yet again contacted the heating contractors at Apollo and they have advised that they will attend asap. A new order has been raised under reference number 889398/1 as the last order that was put through has been closed off.”
ORIGINAL STORY
An e-mail was sent to Housing Repairs Team as well to Cllr Roger Robinson because there has only been tepid water in Goldthorpe for the last several days. Only one day was the water extremely hot. Obviously this is not a healthy situation particularly regarding the severe weather conditions we are currently experiencing.
We requested to repair the boiler in order for the hot water to be restored.
