No Hot Water (3 Days) – UPDATED 03-03-2011

Three residents from Goldthorpe building informed us that there was no hot water on Saturday 26th, Sunday 27th and Monday 28th February 2011.


On 02-03-2011 at 09:51am, we sent the following e-mail:

Dear Mr Michael,

Could you please let me know the reasons for the lack of hot water during the last couple of days? Has the problem been fixed?


On 02-03-2011 at 10:19am, Richard Michael sent the following e-mail to us and Tony Bowcutt from Apollo Group:

Dear Resident,

As you are aware the calorifiers in the boiler house are being replaced at the moment and during this work there is only one of the previous two calorifiers online. This is being heated by the temporary plant. There may be issues with the recovery time during peak times but on the whole the hot water supply should be OK during the work.


Are you aware of any failures of the temporary plant in the last two days?

One of the residents spoke with Mr Tony Bowcut (Apollo Group). Mr Bowcut said that:

1) The lack of hot water on Saturday was due to computer malfuction on the boiler room.
2) The lack of hot water on Sunday was due to problems with the gas supply due to the gas works on the estate.
