Broken Lock Inside Refuse Room in GoldthorpeThe Lock of the external door of the refuse room inside the Goldthorpe building is broken. It has been reported to the Housing Repairs Team on the same day.

Camden Building Maintenance has advised that the earliest this job could be rebooked is Thursday 2nd February 2012.

The lock of the external door inside the refuse room (located between flat 3 and 21) is broken. Please see attached image.

Could you please arrange for the repair of the lock and provide me with a reference/job number?

Thank you for your emails dated 13 th and 14 th December 2011.

An order has been raised for the lock to the refuse door to be repaired under reference 1265642/1 . An appointment for this works order has been arranged for Friday 16/12/2011 between 16:00 and 19:00.

If we can be of any further assistance please let us know. If your query is of an urgent nature please contact the Housing Repairs Team on 0207 974 1212.

On 19-12-2011 at 09:54am we wrote to the Housing Repairs Team:


Dear Sir or Madam,

The repair of the broken door lock inside the refuse room in Goldthorpe building, Curnock Estate, has not be completed by your contractor as per your email below. Could you please clarify the situation and send me an update?

On 20-12-2011 at 10:15am we called the Housing Repairs Team on 0207 974 1212:


They could not provide us with an update even after they called the contractor, Camden Building Maintenance (CBM). The contractor could not find the engineer in order to request an update and for that reason we gave our details in order the Camden contractor to call us directly.

There was not explanantion for missing the scheduled appointment last Friday as well as for the delay of repairing the lock.

On 20-12-2011 at 16:02 the Housing Repairs Team informed us that:


Dear Resident,

Thank you for your emails of 13 th , 14 th 19 th and 20 th December 2011.

An appointment was raised for an operative to attend on Friday 16 th December 2011. However, our records indicate that works order 1265642/1 still has a status of issued and has not yet been completed.

We have queried this matter with our contractors Camden Building Maintenance (CBM) and have been advised that they are unable to obtain the operative with whom these works have been assigned. CBM have advised that the earliest this job could be rebooked is Thursday 2nd February 2012.

As this would appear to be a rather long time we have escalated this to our Specification and Inspection Team as they are responsible for liaising with our contractors?

Once we have received an update either Contact Camden or the Specification and Inspection Team will contact you.
