Two white young men had started a fire using dry branches from the trees and some rubbish. The fire was in the communal area between The Marr and Goldthorpe early this morning at 00:01am. The two men were trying to keep warm.

The residents called the police who arrived quickly.

The police extinguished the fire and asked the men to leave the estate.
