Dear Resident

BIN ROOM CLOSURE

I am writing to you inform you that as of Monday 15th January 2018 your bin room on the ground floor will be permanently locked. The decision to close the refuse room was taken by the Council and in agreement with the TRA for the following reasons;

  • Constant misuse of the refuse room by some residents of the block whereby refuse bags and loose refuse was thrown over the floor. This lead to a major infestation of Rats. The Rats caused major damage to wiring of the TV Arial and the intercom system.
  • High levels of Anti-social behaviour taking place in the room i.e. Rough sleepers gaining access and sleeping in the room,
  • Drug users gaining access and loitering.

From Monday 15th January 2018 all refuse bags must be disposed of in the large green Euro bins which are located at the front and rear of the block at the bottom of the slopes.

DO NOT LEAVE REFUSE BAGS ON THE FLOOR OUTSIDE THE REFUSE ROOM

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Yours sincerely

Gary Nicholls
Estate Services Supervisor
