Due to an increased ASB in the middle of the estate, the council in conjunction with the Curnock Street TRA have decided to lock the gates located between The Marr and Thurnscoe. Those gates leads to the playground but there is an alternative way for the residents.

The supervisor caretaker, Marcio, was very efficient and quick to complete the task which we are hoping that will reduce ASB and other nuisance activities in that area.

The ultimate plan is to have proper gates on this area to stop ASB. Many ASB youths are using the exits to avoid police and this will reduce their escape routes. When proper gates are installed in the future we will be able to use the area for bicycles, gardening, etc
