More than a year ago Curnock TRA had suggested some improvements to the Curnock Street Estate in order to reduce the Anti Soscial Behaviour incidents on the estate. One of those improvements is the lighting on the playing area behind Billingley and Darfield which has now been approved.

Paul Stephens, Contract Manager (Electrical), stated in his email: “To improve the lighting of the playground area I would suggest replacing the column heads with double head type and on the side wall of Goldthorpe install an additional fitting in the middle of the wall, the only issue might be light pollution complaints or aim the light downwards but this will get less coverage.”

Today Vicky Morris has issued works orders Darfield 2313704/1 and Goldthorpe 2313705/1.
